Description
1853 MS 66 Red NGC. While not a rare coin with full, original red color, such coins never fail to impress us when they come our way. This piece has fiery-red and completely original surfaces. The obverse is lightly flecked with carbon from handling but the reverse is pristine. From a consignment of high grade type, actually a complete U.S. type set except for the '96-97 half, this piece is sure to find its way into another equally impressive set. Population: 8 in 66, none are finer (10/97).
