Description

1854 Braided Hair Cent, MS65 Red
N-25, Housed in an Old 'Doily' Holder

1854 1C MS65 Red PCGS. N-25, R.3. Delicate mint-made clash marks near the chin and throat identify this Newcomb pairing. This orange-red Gem is well-struck on the central devices and on most stars, with occasional softness of definition seen on the rims and dentils. Virtually free from contact, the grade is only determined by a few small carbon flecks on each side. Housed in a rarely seen "doily" holder. Our EAC grade MS64.
