1855 1C Upright 5s MS65 Red PCGS. N-4, R.1. Grellman Die
State a. Cherry-red and salmon-pink shades dominate this lustrous
and nearly unabraded Gem. Minor carbon, including a spot beneath
the E in STATES, is all that limits the grade. A few of the upper
stars are soft, but the major devices are boldly brought up. Our
EAC grade MS60.Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 11/2006), lot 90, which realized $3,737.50.(Registry values: N2998)
