1857 1C Small Date MS64 Brown NGC. N-2, R.1. Three die varieties of business strike 1857 large cents include the Large Date N-1, the Small Date N-2, and the Small Date N-4. All three are common in all grades but popular due to the low mintage and last-year status in the large cent series. This lovely example has satiny luster, glossy dark brown surfaces, and tinges of mint red on the reverse. MRB MS60.(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 1931, Greysheet# 1204)
