1857 1C Small Date MS66 Brown NGC. N-2, High R.1. Our EAC Grade
MS63. Grellman Die State a. On its own, the reverse merits a
Red and Brown designation, since considerable peach-red remains.
The obverse also displays mint red about each star, the date, and
LIBERTY. The open fields and portrait are steel-blue. Lustrous and
unabraded with a sharp strike aside from portions of the dentils
and stars.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2008), lot 1817.
