S.S. Central America 1850 Twenty AU50
1850 $20 AU50 NGC. Ex: S.S. Republic. This straw-gold double eagle retains glimpses of its initial luster, and the subdued surfaces are only lightly abraded, accounting for light circulation. Minutely granular near obverse star 6. Most of the twenties from the SSCA were struck at San Francisco; the present piece is an exception.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 268F, PCGS# 8902, GSID# 9785)
