1850-O $20 XF45 PCGS. New Orleans struck double eagles for a dozen years through 1861, and again in 1879, but mintages in most years were token, and in every instance were less than any same-year productions at either Philadelphia or San Francisco. The first-year 1850-O is available by O-mint standards, but is nonetheless very scarce and essentially unobtainable in Mint State. This is a typical green-gold example that has glimpses of luster and distributed moderate marks. Population: 58 in 45, 58 finer (5/10).(Registry values: N1793)
