Description

Bright 1851 Twenty Dollar, AU58

1851 $20 AU58 NGC. This near-Mint State example retains an ample amount of luster. Its bright brassy-gold surfaces display hints of light green and tan and reveal distributed light marks. Relatively well defined except for the usual softness in portions of Liberty's hair. Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth (2006) write that the vast majority of the 2 million + mintage did not survive.(Registry values: N1793)
