Description

Scarce 1851-O Twenty Dollar, AU50

1851-O $20 AU50 PCGS. The 1851-O double eagle was struck to the tune of 315,000 pieces, and most of the survivors grade Very Fine or Extremely Fine. Scarce in AU, and quite rare in Mint State. The AU50 coin in this lot displays bright brassy-gold surfaces that retain luster in the protected areas. Relatively sharp definition is apparent on the design elements, and the marks seen on both sides are minor.(Registry values: N1793)
