Choice AU 1852-O Twenty
From the S.S. Republic
1852-O $20 AU55 NGC. Ex: S.S. Republic. The S.S.
Republic foundered in the waters off of the Georgia coast in
1865, to be rediscovered in 2003. The surfaces of this coin are
bright and semiprooflike overall, although little luster remains.
The strike is bold with the sole exception of the hair, and there
are no mentionable abrasions.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 268L, PCGS# 8907, GSID# 9845)
