Description

Terrific Near-Mint 1852-O Twenty

1852-O $20 AU58 PCGS. New Orleans gold type collectors are drawn to the 1852-O, which is among the more available O-mint issues of the denomination; production of the denomination in New Orleans was slowed greatly by the opening of the San Francisco Mint in 1854. This partly lustrous and slightly subdued green-gold example shows only a whisper of friction on the wingtips and cheek. Minimally marked and most appealing. Population: 30 in 58, 12 finer (4/09).(Registry values: N1793)
