1852-O $20 XF45 NGC. All double eagle collectors know that New Orleans is the most elusive mint of the series. Although the facility coined the denomination annually through 1861, in addition to a small emission upon reopening in 1879, only a few issues are readily collected. Among those is the 1852-O, under strong demand from O-mint type set assemblers. This is a well defined and moderately abraded straw-gold example that has many glimpses of luster about the devices.(Registry values: N991)
