1853/2 $20 --Improperly Cleaned--NCS. Unc Details. FS-301, formerly FS-008. The large raised die dot under the R of LIBERTY is diagnostic of the so-called 1853/2 variety. The yellow-gold surfaces of this twenty dollar retain a good amount of luster despite the light cleaning. High magnification brings out fine hairlines, somewhat more so on the obverse. The design elements are well defined, and each side reveals just a few minor contact marks.
