1853 $20 AU53 NGC. The 1853 Liberty Head double eagle is an available date and a popular type coin. The present coin is a lightly worn AU53 example, with attractive greenish-gold surfaces and a significant amount of original mint luster. The obverse fields show the usual collection of minor handling marks but the reverse is lightly abraded for the grade.(Registry values: N991)
