1853 $20 --Repaired, Cleaned--ANACS. AU55 Details. Generally well defined, with apricot-gold surfaces that reveal fine hairlines under magnification. Some smoothing has taken place on portions of Liberty's portrait and in the adjacent fields, apparently to remove pockmarks, several of which are still visible in Liberty's hair. Possibly a sea recovery piece.(Registry values: N991)
