Charming 1855-S Double Eagle, AU55
1855-S $20 AU55 NGC. The 1855-S twenty is typically seen in Very Fine or Extremely Fine, and despite a mintage of 879,675 pieces it is actually rather scarce in About Uncirculated and finer. Delightful orange-gold patina overlies the surfaces of this crisply struck representative. There are no mentionable marks, and scattered abrasions are typical for the grade.
