1855-S $20 Broken A, Full E, MS62 PCGS. Variety 14A. Ex:
S.S. Central America. SSCA 6254. On the reverse, the A in
STATES has its crossbar clearly deflected from straight-across.
This second-year San Francisco double eagle has the classic

with powerful orange elements along parts of the margins,
particularly the right reverse. Crisply detailed overall, though
somewhat softly struck on some of the hair-strands near the bun.
