1856-S $20 AU50 NGC. Bold devices are set off from the fields by hints of luster that remain in the protected areas. This green-gold AU coin displays the usual scattered abrasions of the grade. The 1856-S is a popular date, made famous by the discovery of numerous examples on the S.S. Central America shipwreck. The present coin is not pedigreed to the underwater treasure.From The Arizona Treasure Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
