Description

1858 Twenty Dollar, AU58
Challenging Philadelphia Issue

1858 $20 AU58 NGC. The 1858 Philadelphia twenty remains scarce in About Uncirculated conditions and seldom exceeds the low Mint State levels. This nearly Mint State example displays partially lustrous orange-gold surfaces and only a few light obverse abrasions. A touch of high-point wear dictates the AU58 grade. NGC reports only 35 numerically finer examples, plus one piece in 58+ (6/25).
