Choice AU 1859-S Double Eagle
1859-S $20 AU55 NGC. A generous mintage exceeding 600,000 coins make this early S-mint issue widely available, although most examples are heavily bagmarked. This piece shows generous luster over the yellow-gold surfaces, but there are numerous small abrasions consistent with the grade and a short spate in circulation.From The Menlo Park Collection.(Registry values: N1793)
