1859-S Liberty Head Twenty, AU55
1859-S $20 AU55 NGC. The 1859-S double eagle was produced in large quantities, but the issue was heavily circulated. Mint State examples are elusive today, making a nice AU55 coin a popular choice for series specialists. The present coin shows slight wear on Liberty's hair and retains much of its original luster.
