Description
1861 $20 AU58 NGC. Luster is prevalent although somewhat diminished in intensity across the cheek and open obverse field. Small marks are distributed, but none deny the eye appeal, with only those near the chin worthy of passing mention. The S.S. Republic shipwreck contained a number of 1861 twenties, but those have been disbursed. A popular Civil War date.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 269G, PCGS# 8932, GSID# 9797)
