Description
1861 $20 AU58 PCGS. The 1861 double eagle is a perfect choice for a type collector. It is not only one of the most available Type One twenties, but it is also popular as a Civil War issue. This briefly circulated representative has a trace of softness on Liberty's hair, but the rest of the details are boldly defined. Scattered abrasions are typical for the grade, and none merit individual mention. Delightful yellow-gold patina drapes the surfaces of this lustrous piece.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 269G, PCGS# 8932, GSID# 9797)
