Description

1861 Liberty Head Double Eagle, MS60
Popular Type One Representative

1861 $20 MS60 NGC. Yellow-gold surfaces, with strong rose highlights, and bright mint luster enhance the appeal of this popular 19th century type coin. The strike is sharp in most areas, with just a little softness apparent on Liberty's hair. A few dark color spots, probably from grease, and some minor abrasions are consistent with the grade.(Registry values: N2998)
