    1861-S Liberty Twenty, AU53
    Lustrous Original Surfaces

1861-S $20 AU53 NGC. Unlike its Paquet Reverse counterpart, which was struck early in the year, the 1861-S Liberty double eagle enjoyed an ample mintage and the issue is relatively plentiful in circulated grades. Mint State examples are elusive. This impressive AU53 specimen is lightly worn, with much original mint luster still intact. The usual number of minor abrasions are evident, but the overall presentation is quite attractive.(Registry values: N1793)
