1861-S Liberty Twenty, MS60
High Mintage, Low Population

1861-S $20 MS60 NGC. The Large S mintmark is centered over the N in TWENTY and slightly closer to the tail feathers. Light peripheral die cracks are noted on the reverse. This lovely Type One twenty has brilliant yellow surfaces with frosty luster. Minor contact marks are evident, but there are no singular marks on either side. NGC and PCGS have certified a combined total of just 27 Mint State examples. Census: 5 in 60, 9 finer (5/11).(Registry values: N4719)
