1862 $20 XF45 NGC. The Civil War-era double eagle issues beginning in 1862 are challenging and highly prized today. This Choice XF example from that year retains considerable luster on its pale yellow-gold surfaces. Both sides are moderately abraded with typical striking weakness on the highest design elements.
