1863 Double Eagle, AU53
1863 $20 AU53 PCGS. Traces of luster reside in the recessed areas of this lightly worn twenty dollar piece, and yellow-gold patina adorns each side. A well executed strike delivers sharp definition on the stars and eagle's plumage, though some of the usual weakness is visible in Liberty's hair. A few minuscule marks do not detract.
