1863 $20 --Improperly Cleaned--NCS. AU Details. This piece is still lustrous, particularly on the reverse, despite being cleaned. The obverse is moderately hairlined and somewhat bright, and both sides display the small marks consistent with cursory 19th century circulation. A popular Civil War-era double eagle with a relatively low mintage.(Registry values: N1793)
