Description
1863 Double Eagle, XF Details
Moderate Luster Remains
1863 $20 -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details. XF. The 1863
Philadelphia double eagle is a date scarce enough in high grade to
make even lightly impaired pieces suitable for many collections.
This is an example that, while hairlined from cleaning and
generally bright overall, remains pleasing, and enough luster
clings to the protected regions to provide a measure of eye appeal
despite the NGC designation. Light wear and scattered old abrasions
accompany the XF grade level.(Registry values: N991)
