    Description

    1864 Twenty Dollar, AU Details
    Better Date in High Grade

1864 $20 -- Cleaning -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. This is a sharply detailed, bright yellow-gold example with the usual scattering of minor abrasions associated with AU-level double eagles. The cleaned surfaces are not particularly bothersome when one considers the scarcity of the 1864 double eagle in high grade. This is an issue that is elusive in AU and decidedly rare in Mint State.
