Description

1867 Liberty Head Double Eagle, MS60
Excellent Luster, Popular Type Issue

1867 $20 MS60 PCGS. A substantial mintage of 251,015 Liberty Head double eagles were struck in 1867, but Mint State coins are scarce today. The present coin is an attractive MS60 example, with extraordinary luster radiating from the lovely greenish-gold surfaces. The design elements are sharply defined throughout and eye appeal is outstanding. The surfaces show a moderate number of handling marks for the grade. Housed in a green label holder.(Registry values: N1793)
