Elusive Choice AU 1869 Double Eagle
1869 $20 AU55 NGC. The deep green-gold color of this Choice AU example is complemented by peach peripheral accents on each side. The coin is well struck and only shows a modest degree of wear on the design's highest points. This issue is considered scarce in AU condition, and it becomes extremely challenging in Mint State.
