    Description

    1869-S Twenty Dollar, Lustrous AU58
    Difficult to Upgrade

1869-S $20 AU58 NGC. Both sides are luminous with a remarkable degree of frosty luster. The stars mostly lack centers, but Liberty's curls are relatively well-defined and the eagle's neck and wing feathers are bold. Numerous abrasions, some shallow and others more profound, appear throughout. This light yellow-gold Type Two double eagle would be exceedingly difficult to upgrade.(Registry values: N1793)
