Lustrous AU55 1872-CC Double Eagle

1872-CC $20 AU55 NGC. Flashy with pale yellow-gold color. The strike shows typical softness on the hair below Liberty's coronet, but the stars are better-defined. While the 1872-CC double eagle is not of the same rarity as its counterparts in earlier years, it is decidedly elusive in AU55 and finer.
