Description
1872-S Double Eagle, MS61
Upper-End for the Grade
1872-S $20 MS61 PCGS. Ex: The Gilded Age Collection.
Remarkably smooth, satiny surfaces showcase luminous wheat-gold
luster and the occasional glint of deeper honey and peach color.
The design elements are well-defined, and the surfaces exhibit
fewer abrasions than expected for the grade. An unusually
eye-appealing 1872-S twenty, with few coins numerically superior.
NGC reports 18 numerically higher grading events (12/24).(Registry values: N2998)From The Mississippi Collection of Double Eagles.
