Description

Upper-End MS62 1873 Open 3 Twenty

1873 $20 Open 3 MS62 PCGS. CAC. The Open 3 is one of the more available Type Two twenties, and is frequently found in mint condition. However, MS62 is generally the upper limit of its availability. This is a pleasing coin for the grade, as indicated by the CAC sticker, and the surfaces are softly lustrous with an even, light layer of reddish patina on each side. The devices are unusually sharp for this type with the only area of weakness seen on the oval of stars on the reverse. Minimally marked for the grade.(Registry values: N2998)
