Description

Type Two 1873 Open 3 Twenty, MS63

1873 $20 Open 3 MS63 PCGS. CAC. This is a splendid example of the conditionally rare Type Two design, with a sharp strike on both sides and attractive pumpkin-gold coloration. Minor marks are present but are unimportant relative to the grade. An important opportunity for the alert gold specialist. NGC has certified only two coins in finer grades, while PCGS has seen five finer (5/10).(Registry values: N4719)
