1873-CC $20 --Improperly Cleaned--NGC Details. XF. Only slight wear shows on this popular double eagle from the charismatic Carson City Mint. The star radials are all complete, and much detail remains in Liberty's hair and the eagle's feathers. The surfaces are medium greenish-gold, with subtle, slightly muted mint luster. Doug Winter considers this issue the seventh rarest of the series in high grade.(Registry values: N2998)
