Popular 1873-S Closed 3 Twenty MS61
1873-S $20 Closed 3 MS61 NGC. This lustrous orange-gold Type Two twenty has a good strike apart from the two stars beneath the ST in TRUST. The reverse is impressively unabraded, and although the obverse has its quota of small marks, none poses an individual distraction. The Closed 3 variety is more obtainable than its Open 3 counterpart, since dies with the updated logotype took their time to arrive from Philadelphia cross-country to San Francisco.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26AK, PCGS# 8969, GSID# 9918)
