1873-S $20 Closed 3 MS62 NGC. CAC. Like most Type Two double eagles, the 1873-S with the Closed 3 in the date is quite rare in MS62 condition, and virtually unobtainable in higher levels of Mint State. This attractive MS62 example is well-detailed, with a touch of softness on the central obverse. The lustrous orange-gold surfaces are lightly marked for the grade.
