1873-S $20 Open 3 AU58 PCGS. Although the surfaces are abraded, consistent with the grade, the rich yellow-gold luster and original olive patina ensures the originality of this near-Mint double eagle. The 1873-S is a plentiful issue among Type Two double eagles, but all issues of this design type are scarce in higher grades. The near-Mint example offered here will make a nice addition to a date or type collection.(Registry values: N991)
