Description

Bright AU55 1874-CC Twenty

1874-CC $20 AU55 PCGS. The 1874-CC has a surprisingly large mintage of 115,085 pieces. This is surprising after the low output from 1870 through 1873. Survivors are eagerly sought after by collectors who need a Carson City Type Two for type sets, but there is a relatively low upper limit for such pieces as the finest coins certified are MS62. The surfaces on this piece are bright and lustrous, as one would expect from a CC twenty, but show the usual heavy abrasions on the obverse. (Registry values: N1793)
