Near-Mint 1874-CC Double Eagle
Scarce in AU58, Rare Finer

1874-CC $20 AU58 NGC. The 1874-CC Liberty Head double eagle can be located in AU58 without too much difficulty, but anything finer is rare. Only 26 coins have been certified in higher numeric grades by NGC and PCGS combined, and that total may include some duplicate submissions (7/10). The present coin is an attractive near-Mint specimen, with lustrous greenish-gold surfaces. Only light traces of wear show on Liberty's hair, the star radials are all complete, and fine detail is present on the eagle's feathers.(Registry values: N1793)
