Description

1874-CC $20 XF45 PCGS. Because of the considerable mintage, the 1874-CC is the first CC-mint double eagle available in any number. This piece displays hazy brownish-gold, lightly abraded surfaces and traces of luster in the protected areas. Localized softness is visible on the design elements, a characteristic of the issue. The reverse die is rotated about 25 degrees counterclockwise from the obverse.(Registry values: N1793)
