Description

1875 Liberty Head Twenty, MS62
Attractive Color and Luster

1875 $20 MS62 PCGS. CAC. The 1875 double eagle is the only collectible gold issue of the date from the Philadelphia Mint. The other denominations had extremely small mintages and are very rare to extremely rare today. The present coin is an attractive example, with greenish-gold surfaces and pleasing mint luster. The striking details are a little soft on Liberty's hair, but the other devices are well detailed. A scattering of minor obverse handling marks account for the grade.(Registry values: N2998)
