Description

1876 $20 MS61 Prooflike NGC. Light Motto, an enigmatic design subtype that only appears on some 1876 Philadelphia twenties. The introduction of the Type Three reverse undoubtedly prevented the spread of the Light Motto to other issues. A boldly struck piece with bright fields and expected obverse abrasions. Census: 8 in 61 Prooflike, 3 finer (2/10).
