Splendid 1876 Double Eagle, MS62
1876 $20 MS62 NGC. Light Motto. Dazzling cartwheel luster shines beneath the warm yellow-gold patina that envelops both sides. A tiny violet spot on Liberty's hair adds color to the otherwise uniform surfaces. Scattered abrasions limit the grade, but none are worthy of specific mention. NGC has certified just 49 examples finer (7/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 26AV, PCGS# 8976, GSID# 9814)
