Description

Prooflike 1876-CC Double Eagle, MS60

1876-CC $20 MS60 NGC. The surfaces are distinctly prooflike on this Mint State example of an issue produced to the extent of 138,441 coins, a generous amount for the Mint at Carson City. The canary-gold surfaces have a peppering of moderate abrasions that appear more to be from coin-to-coin contact in banks bags than from any actual circulation.(Registry values: N2998)
