Description
Pleasing MS61 1876-CC Twenty
1876-CC $20 MS61 PCGS. Whispers of mint-green and sky-blue make occasional visits to the apricot-gold surfaces of this '76-CC representative. The fields and design-motif interstices are partially prooflike, thereby establishing moderate contrast with the devices. Despite the usual softness in portions of Liberty's hair, this example exhibits above average detail, including the obverse stars, elements that are often weak on this issue. Small marks limit the grade, but both sides are devoid of the copper spots that often frequent this date. The coin resides in a green label holder and is quite pleasing for an MS61. Population: 57 in 61, 51 finer (9/09).From The E.J. Mutton Collection of U.S. Gold, Part Two.(Registry values: N4719)
